Instructional Card Game for Teachers

As part of ET-749 Gaming and Application Design; I, Erin W., and WeiHsuan L., developed Fix-It. This is a card game designed to help student teachers develop their classroom management skills. The game can also be developed into other educational games for classroom teachers to teach different subjects. As part of the ET-340 class at UNC the Fix-It game is shared with pre-service teachers to demonstrate Game-Based Learning in the classroom.

Portraiture Research

While taking SRM-686 Qualitative Case Study Research; WeiHsuan Lo, Erin Wachter,  and myself developed a research study where we took on the role of research and participant. This Portraite Research was designed to see how our role as instructors for the ET-340 Integration of Technology into Content and Pedagogy class could be improved and to determine what we each did to make the class unique. This is a great work of collaboration that carried through into many other classes.

E-Sports  Research Poster at UNC Graduate Research Symposium 2022

While taking SRM-685 Educational Ethnography, I worked with Sydney B. and Yash P. on an E-Sports ethnography research study. As a group, we observed students at UNC in the E-Sports club. The research intended to understand the E-Sports movement better and highlight its importance to today's educational makeup on campus. The study was a great chance to collaborate on a shared interest and present our findings at a research event.
